ertical Leaf Filter - Vertical Tanks
The Vertical Leaf Filter vertical tank consists of a vertical tank with vertically positioned filter leafs. The filter leafs filter from 2 sides, offering a large filter area on a relatively small vessel. It can be used for a variety of applications.
It can be applied for primary filtrations involving relatively high solid loads or for polishing filtration operations with low solid loads. The filter leafs are placed on a horizontal mounted manifold, optional individual filter leaf outlets are feasible.
The Vertical Leaf Filters can be configurated for a dry cake or slurry cake discharge. Wet cake discharge can be assisted with the use of sluicing and washing fixtures and extra large discharge outlets. Likewise, cakes dried using compressed air or gases can be loosened with a vibrator and discharged through hydraulically operated quick opening tank bottoms or butterfly valves. All Vertical Leaf Filters can be configured for manual, semiautomatic or fully automatic operation.
Minimum Floor Space
Floor space required to filtration area is limited.
Totally enclosed operation
No Leaking or evaporasation due to the totally enclosed design. Prevents air pollution.
High flow rates
Low internal resistance assures hig flow rates at low pressure drops.
Self Cleaning
The Vertical Leaf Filter may be cleaned without opening the filter vessel.
Automation
The filter operation can be easily automated by external signalss for valves and further auxillaries. Reproducibilty f operation.
Complete product recovery
For dry cake discharge a heel filtration plate can be fitted in the drop bottom door. This permits recovery of
the filter tank volume at the end of the cycle.
